Boston Elopement Photographer + Tiny Wedding Planner

ALL-IN-ONE Boston Elopement PhotographeR, OFFICIANT + Elopement Planner

My Boston elopement photography packages already include some help with elopement planning – such help with location ideas, vendors recommendations, tips to stay within your budget + elopement timeline coordination. So, if that’s all you’re looking for, my standard elopement photography packages are probably best for you. But sometimes you need a little more assistance. And if you do, this page is for you.

Do you need a dedicated elopement planner + an elopement photographer?

As an elopement photographer, my honest answer is that I usually end up being the elopement planner if you don’t have one. Even the smallest of celebrations require some level of coordination and logistics, and it always helps to have someone on your team that’s done this kinda thing before. Which is to say that I highly recommend that you either:

  1. hire a photographer who can also help with elopement planning OR

  2. hire a dedicated planner for your elopement.

Let’s just say that I know first-hand how quickly a “simple” elopement can unexpectedly morph into one HUGE pile of stress. (I’m here to make sure that doesn’t happen.)

I’m a huge huge fan of keeping your elopement stress-free, simple, and focused on you (since these are probably exactly the reasons you’ve decided on an elopement to begin with) – so I’ve put together a bunch of elopement planning and decorating ideas to inspire you be as simple or extravagant as you’d like in your elopement planning process.

Nontraditional Elopement Inspiration: Manny & Mursal ate burgers on Boston’s North Shore after their sunset elopement ceremony. (They also got married 3x in 2 days…but that a long story.)

What aspects of elopement planning can I help with?

  • Concept and design development. With the help of my tiny (but mighty) team, we’ll bring your Pinterest board to life and guide you through what can often feel like an overwhelming process.

  • Location ideas for all seasons, budgets, preferences + accessibly needs.

  • Helping to keep you within your elopement budget by recommending when (and how) to DIY vs. when to hire a pro.

  • Scheduling & logistics – such as calling the restaurant or hotel for reservations and booking location permits.

  • I’m ordained. So, I’m legit a one-stop “walking Vegas” for Boston. Easy peasy.

  • In short, I make sure you can focus your attention on enjoying your elopement by taking away the most stressful parts of planning.

Laid-back Elopement Inspiration: Ally & Darin eloped in the company their four best friends in Boston Seaport. One of their friends was ordained for the day to make it official.

Officiant Services

Your Wedding Officiated by ME (or another RAD human)!

OPTION 1: That’s right – I’m a one-stop-shop for photos AND your wedding officiant! Officiant services by myself are included for FREE in all my wedding packages already. Of course, I live behind my camera and therefore function more as an “official witness” that can sign your license and make your marriage official. So…

OPTION 2: If you prefer someone to provide a more “ceremony-like” experience like you see above (rather than me just signing your license) I can also connect you with a number of rad, and totally not cheesy, local officiants that fit your personality!

All officiants set their own pricing, but generally you can expect to pay $250-$800 for elopement officiant services, depending on a number of factors such as complexity/personalization of your ceremony and travel time.

Elopement services

These services are provided directly by me and often already included in all my elopement packages:

  • Pre-event timeline planning - so you know what to expect in the flow of events.

  • Flat-lay/details kit - extra goodies, like ribbon and vintage stamps to dress up your detail photos of your invitations, shoes, and jewelry.

  • Minimalist dessert set-up for two people - includes your choice of a simple set of plates, silverware in gold or silver, drink glasses, desert stand, and other basics that can be easily combined with other items that you already own for a sweet and simple place to enjoy a mini elopement-style picnic!

  • Miscellaneous decor items - such as lanterns, candles, dried florals, and vases that I am happy to bring along with me!

These services are also available a la carte with assistance from my executive assistant and right-hand-lady, Tiffany, or another trusted professional:

  • Day of coordination - an extra person to make sure we stay on schedule and keep it stress-free.

  • Scheduling of all logistics - including securing location permits.

Elopement Styling

In addition to the above services, my team can also help design and acquire the following styling and decor items (so it’s all ready and waiting when you arrive for your ceremony):

  • A beautiful and simple ceremony set-up based on the couple’s preferred style.

  • Florals for both partners, such as a bouquet(s) +/or boutonnière(s) matched to colors of choice

  • Bespoke decor items such as decorative plates, napkins, or an elaborate doughnut table because why not?!

  • Dessert of choice – artisanal doughnuts, a mini cake, churros…you tell me!

  • A champagne toast – or shots, cuz yolo!

  • Guests can always be added to styling/table settings for an additional cost.

This sounds great! So, why do people often skimp on hiring an elopement planner?

Your elopement is about more than just the photos. (Of course, you know this already.) Surprisingly though, I’ve found that with elopements and tiny weddings in particular, the idea that this is “just an elopement” and not “a typical wedding” (whatever that is) makes it way more likely that a couple doesn’t put as much time as they really need into carefully planning the overall experience of their elopement day. Your elopement will be simpler to plan than a wedding – that much I can promise – but an elopement still deserves (and requires) a good chunk of TLC.

Picture this: It’s one week before your elopement – and you just now realized that you’ve forgotten to book hair & makeup, confirm dinner reservations in Boston, book a hotel for auntie Jane who’s driving in from New Hampshire, and you still haven’t ordered cake and wedding florals. Also, after checking out all the crazy ideas on Pinterest, you have about two-thousand new ideas about things you would have loved to incorporate in your own elopment if only you had more time. (Also also, did I mention you haven’t budgeted for any of this because most of this never crossed your mind until last-minute?) – Wooooff! It’s a lot.

Anywhoooo, all of this is why I’m here: Not only to help create an elopement celebration of this upcoming chapter of your love BUT ALSO to make sure you are stress-free enough to actually be present and joyful throughout the experience.
